Austin Texas Metro Area Farmer's Markets

There are many Farmer's Markets in the Austin Texas area that people moving to Austin need to know about. Along with Farmer's Markets, the Austin Area also has a lot of "pick your own" places.  You can also pick your own fresh live Christmas Tree. Many markets have handmade soap, eggs, nuts and other products along with fresh vegetables and fruit. Go early to the Farmer's Market to get the best selection. Go late to possibly bargain shop but you'll only get the leftovers. It's green and helps the farmers to bring your own basket, bags or box to carry your treasures in.  It is good to bring cash because some vendors may not be equipped to take a plastic payment.
