Austin Real Estate Market
I am grateful to live and work in Austin, Texas. My forefathers did well moving to this part of Texas about 1871. When you look at the depressing national news- remember, that is not AUSTIN. We did not have the huge, spiking appreciation like California did and therefore, we did not have the "bubble" to burst. Right now it is more of a buyer's market but the price reductions have been nominal compared to other areas of our country. Don't expect to scalp sellers here in 2010 but you will find sellers taking the "fluff" out of pricing & being more aggressive with incentives, etc. Remember, Austin, Texas has not been hit as hard with the economic recession. In fact, some say Austin is thriving in tough times.
