I took this photo of Cap Rock January 2012. Cap Rock is centered around the beautiful and challenging Crystal Falls Golf Course in Leander, Texas 78641.

Cap Rock is a brand new gated upscale gated neighborhood in the Master planned, 5,000 acre Crystal Falls community in Austin’s northwest corridor of Leander, Texas. Crystal Falls developer, Bill Hinckley, describes the Cap Rock homes’ style as “West Coast” in their Tuscan or Spanish style architecture. He saved lots of specimen trees. The single builder in Cap Rock will be Austin’s Grand Haven Homes. Surrounded by Crystal Falls Golf Course holes three through seven, greenbelt, and perched atop a plateau, the homes in Cap Rock will enjoy breathtaking Texas Hill Country views. The first 60 lots had homes from about 2,000 to 4,000 square feet and started in the $280’s in 2010, you can see how much they have appreciated in the map below.

Cap Rock at Crystal Falls Updates

This neighborhood is so new that you won’t find it yet on the Crystal Falls website (as of 10.9.09).

Cap Rock update: 4.4.10 A lot of progress has been made in this new section of Crystal Falls. Roads have been cut in, infrastructure coming along quickly, entry monument looking great!

Cap Rock update: 6.2.10 I just drove by and photographed the new second entry monument- a huge boulder with “Cap Rock at Crystal Falls” on it (see above). Cap Rock and all of Crystal Falls looked so beautiful with the storm we have rolling in from the north tonight.

10.24.10 – Streets are in and paved, 1st home up. Grand Opening By Invitation Only happening this week.

10.24.10 Additional landscaping going in. Spray Mulch with winter grass seed added. Entry monument still being worked on.
