Shopping in Cedar Park gets better and better all the time. Lakeline Mall with Macy’s, Sears and many other stores is always great. As of October 2007 the approximately 500,000 square foot 1890 Ranch shopping center at the intersection of 183A and 1431 or 1335 E. Whitestone Boulevard with Ross Dress for Less, Hobby Lobby, Academy Sports and Outdoors Store, PetsMart, Super Target, Verizon Wireless, Office Max, Half Price Books, Zales Outlet (jewelry), James Avery, GNC and others. 1890 Ranch sold in October 2011, changing hands for $87.6 million. It’s fun to run over to the Ikea or Premium Outlet Mall in Round Rock at 1431 and IH 35 as well.

The Cedar Park Farmer’s Market opened March 27, 2010. Cedar Park Farms To Market or CPF2M is located at the Lakeline Mall parking lot behind Dillard’s and Sears and offers meat, eggs, dairy and produce straight from local farmers to you every Saturday from 9:00am to 1:00pm. The Cedar Park Center at 183A and New Hope Drive opened September 25, 2009 with George Strait in concert. With 6,800 seats for the AHL’s Texas Stars Hockey Club hockey and 8,700 for concerts or other events, this multi-use facility on 17 acres has retail and commercial mixed use development around it. The Cedar Park Center hosts about 130 events a year such as Disney on Ice, Cirque du Soleil and more as the place in Cedar Park for concerts, rodeos, sporting events and much more- call (512) Go Stars.

Gold’s Gym is a new state of the art gym facility located in the new 1890 Ranch. The Cinemark is a wonderful new movie theatre at 1890 Ranch. Veteran’s Memorial Park’s new water park is a great place for Summer fun!! Located off off West New Hope in Cedar Park. Brushy Creek Park is a great place for hiking, biking, fishing, letting the kids play or just enjoying nature. Row Paddle Brushy Creek at 3300 Brushy Creek Road offers kayaks for rent as well as rowing lessons on Brushy Creek Lake next to Avery Ranch. It’s always fun to take a ride on the Austin Steam Train. It offers special New Year’s rides, mystery murder, who done it rides as well as special Halloween ghost story rides. Cave Day is held every year in Cedar Park TX by the Texas Cave Conservancy.
